We treat all spinal problems and will assess and clinically diagnose your spine pain. Neck and back pain is the one of the leading causes for people needing to take time off work.
There are many causes of lower back pain and treatment should be individualised to your particular problems. Back ache may be due to a weakness of the core supporting muscles of the back, stiffness in the joints, or stiffness in the muscles, poor posture and lifestyle factors such as stress. Each of these different causes of back pain are treated in a different manner and that why a good assessment is essential to get it right.
We use a range of treatment techniques to manage your pain where appropriate including manual therapy and manipulation, deep soft tissue massage, ultrasound, pilates and other exercises.
Our experience tells us that often there is not just one, but several factors affecting neck and back pain, so we take a holistic approach to getting you pain free. we do not believe in recipe treatments, but offer individualised care and bespoke treatments.
Most back and neck problems do not need a scan, but if one is needed, we will tell you, and refer you. We have an advanced level spinal practitioner for complex spinal problems (extended scope practitioner). For more severe cases, we will recommend a minimally invasive spine surgery.
Trapped nerves, including “sciatica” and “tennis elbow” symptoms can often be related to a sensitised nerve problem and we recognise this and apply our knowledge to reducing your pain for the long term, sciatica having connections to the lower back, and tennis elbow having connections to the neck.
