Very excited about being physio for this event, given the great weather we had last week, I am hopeful that its going to be a great day. I will be stationed between the 14th and 24 mile, so probably mainly cramp to deal with.
I was stationed as physio at the tennis and basketball events at these Champs. Was able to watch a bit of the Mens Singles Tennis at this event. There were some good close games, then later the Basketball. Very lively on court!
More training for the role of Physiotherapist on the medical team for the Olympics. Time is moving so fast and it's not long now ‘til the “greatest show on Earth” begins.
Phew, that was a very busy weekend in Sheffield. Worked with a great team of physios though. Quite rewarding. Excellent facilities at this English Institute of Sport.
That was my first visit to the Wembley Arena for the first training session for the London 2012 Olympics. Its a great facility, you don’t feel overwhelmed by it. I am gutted that I didn’t get any tickets for the Olympics Badminton which will be held at this venue.
Completed that last of this 4 day course. Learnt quite alot because the level of training was very high. Its apparent that even after 20 years of experience, there is always something new to learn.
